Electrical and Special Systems

Switchboards

The electrical panel is the nerve center of the entire electrical system, or the interface between the electricity delivery point by the distributor and the entire electrical system of the end user. A set of elements that make it up and make it possible to operate and allow you to adjust and control the entire electrical system.

High efficiency lighting

The focus of recent years has been the study of energy efficiency, in particular for the public lighting sector, which often involves disproportionate consumption. Cubi Srl has a strong know-how also in this area, making itself available to study the right solutions for each project relating to industrial or public plants.

MV/LV electrical substations

The electrical substation is an electrical workshop that has the purpose of connecting all electrical systems that go from the power plant to the plant. There are different types of MV / LV substations (medium voltage and low voltage), generally they are a part of the electrical system and include the terminations of transmission or distribution lines, equipment and electrical panels and may include transformers. The cabins contain all the control and protection devices of the system. At Cubi Srl we mainly deal with MV/LV transformer substations, which transform the electrical energy of medium voltage (MV) lines by providing adequate values for low voltage, to be subsequently distributed within offices, homes and shops. We also handle substations with a sorting function, that is, those that allow the distribution of LV energy from a single line to multiple arrival lines.

High voltage substations

The high voltage substations are the nodes of the electricity transmission network, they usually perform the function of interconnecting the power lines of the same voltage level or of different voltage levels, sometimes they are useful for rephasing the apparent power of the network through the reactors.

Data transmission systems, wireless

The data transmission systems are made using specific systems to avoid the loss of communication, such as servers, wireless and LAN networks. This type of systems must guarantee constant and fast transmission, capable of communicating also with all centralized, automated and control management systems such as: video surveillance, fire detection, access control, CCTV.

Anti intrusion and security systems

Anti-intrusion systems are those security systems that are installed in homes, but also in corporate and commercial structures. There are various types of systems such as the one with motion sensors, sound alarms with automatic customer alerts, alarm control units powered by electricity, automatic machinery blocks or locks, all connected to the central server capable of controlling through a PC throughout the security system. At Cubi Srl we propose ourselves as a professional installer, belonging to a trade association and with the necessary certifications required by the standard. We also offer a 24H protection and intervention service in the event of a fault.

Automation of doors and gates

By programming the conditions demanded by the customer, it is possible to automate doors and gates thanks to a network connection, and control them directly on panels or mobile phones.

Video Surveillance Systems (CCTV)

We install CCTV-type video surveillance cameras, i.e. cameras that transmit the audio or video signal to specific monitors, programmed through a PC. These installations are generally used by 24-hour controlled areas such as ports, airports, military areas or banks. These solutions have the characteristic of guaranteeing 24/7 monitoring with superior image quality, and it is also possible to have an excellent view during the day, even in backlit conditions, but also at night.

Automation systems

Cubi Srl is able to design network structures with multiple PLCs and actuators (Inverters, Pneumatic Solenoid Valves, Hydraulics and various physical measurement transducers in electrical signal) suitable for the monitoring and automated management of all production processes and energy distribution within any establishment. Thanks to these plants it is possible to control and automate heating systems, refrigeration rooms, hot water pumps, thermal power plants, the flow control and the accumulation levels for the production process, but also to control the temperature of a vat in real time in wine production for example.

Telematic access control

Cubi srl installs all the systems that allow you to manage the access of people inside or outside the company, in the various designated areas, guaranteeing or denying access and recording their movements. In addition, we specialize in the installation of various access control terminals, consisting of a keyboard or display for the control and registration of attendance in the workplace.

Domotics

Cubi srl also deals with home automation for business systems, that is to design and install all the systems useful for the control and command of machinery and systems in the most efficient and functional way, obtaining savings in terms of consumption and management costs. Some examples of controllable systems are those of lighting, thermoregulation, internal security and obviously the access control system.

Thermohydraulic systems

We also provide an emergency service in order to guarantee immediate repairs to the systems and thus reduce downtime.

Air conditioning and air conditioning systems

Cubi Srl is able to design and install air conditioning and air conditioning systems with the functions of reaching, maintaining and controlling certain conditions of temperature, humidity, movement and air quality.

We deal with cold and hot air conditioning systems, if they are equipped with a heat pump. Furthermore, we work with traditional air systems or inverters. In the first case they are systems equipped with a compressor on and off button for the emission of air and are the most common, in the case of inverters instead, we are talking about machines with variable and gradual power based on the temperature of the environment in which they are placed.

Ventilation and air renewal

We are able to propose appropriate solutions to the most diverse market needs, through the study and installation of tailor-made systems for ventilation, suction and air filtration.

This type of system is also called VMC, an acronym that includes all those mechanical controlled air ventilation systems that perform air exchange and recirculation, creating and maintaining a healthy and clean environment. These systems are also important because they help fight humidity and mold problems inside factories. VMC systems can be centralized, normally used on new buildings, or decentralized, ideal for intervening on existing buildings and for managing the microclimate in a differentiated way room by room.

Fire prevention systems

We boast a rich know-how, gained over the years of Cubi Srl’s activity, in the design and installation of fire-fighting systems dedicated to corporate and industrial structures. In addition, we also take care of the maintenance of all systems – from sprinkler systems to water systems, passing through powder, foam and gas systems – with the common goal of making people and the working environment safe.

Sanitary water systems and drains

Many things must be considered for the perfect functioning of a sanitary and wastewater system. When installing a sanitary water system, which allows the distribution of cold and hot water within a small or large space, is necessary to carefully plan the flow of water from the plant to the upper floors.

Cubi Srl is specialized in designing tailor-made systems, researching suitable materials and the correct mechanisms, based on the size of the different industrial facilities.

Thermal and refrigeration plants

We are experts in industrial heating and refrigeration systems, i.e. systems that produce and distribute the heat exchange fluids used in industrial processes to power the processing machines.

Heat pumps

We are also available to study solutions for the installation of heat pump systems, as an alternative to traditional industrial combustion heating systems. In fact, the task of heat pump systems is to extract and transfer energy using other forms of energy, such as mechanical air-water.

Water Tratment Services

Industrial and civil wastewater treatment plants

Cubi Srl works in the waste water purification sector and provides specific technologies and knowledge for every need, providing products and services dedicated to the treatment of industrial and civil water.

Water purification with resin, quartzite and sand technology

There are several filtering devices, among the most used we have those with mechanical filters and those with active media. In the first case, they are devices designed to remove undissolved substances from water, in the shape of discs or cartridges and composed of synthetic materials, metals, fabrics or inert materials such as sand and quartzite also arranged in multilayer. In the second case, we are talking about filters consisting of adsorbent material, ion exchange resins or chemically active material, capable of removing dissolved substances in water as a result of chemical reactions, interactions between ionic charges or other surface activities.

Chemical-physical water treatment plants

Chemical-physical systems are used to remove the pollutants present in the water. These systems provide for the use of chemical reagent additives, which in particular conditions are able to make pollutants insoluble and then break them down by coagulation, precipitation or neutralization.

Biogas plants for the production of gas

Biogas plants are very complex plants in their operation and have the purpose of producing thermal and electrical energy through an anaerobic digestion process of the organic components.

A biogas plant consists of:

  • Tanks: the biomass (liquid or solid) is mixed and pre-treated to prepare it for fermentation
  • Anaerobic digesters: fermentation takes place. Here the digested by-products precipitate downwards, while the biogas produced moves towards the top of the digester
  • Storage tank: where unused materials and biomass are collected
  • Gasometer: the biogas is collected and stored

Waste and sludge treatment

The final phase of purification is the treatment of the sludge, a crucial moment, which involves the improvement of the final waste to bring it to a quality that can be reused or disposed of correctly.

Drinking water plants

Cubi Srl also offers filtration systems, softeners and dosing systems to ensure the purification of water for both civil and industrial use, studying the ideal solution for each customer.

Sampling and scheduled maintenance

Cubi Srl also offers a chemical analysis service of liquids to evaluate together the degree of intervention and the most suitable project. In addition, we also offer a scheduled maintenance service, to manage all systems in the best possible way and make them safe, efficient and long-lasting.

Interventions on water hardness

Water hardness derives from the quantity of magnesium and calcium salts responsible for precipitation and incrustation in water systems. To solve the problem, we use a softener with selected exchange resins suitable for contact with water and also food usage. Strong cationic resins with sulphonic group in the sodium cycle R-SO3Na and an exchange capacity of 50 g CaCO3 / liter per resin are used. The resins are regenerated with brine formed by water and sea salt in the special brine formation vat.

The resins capture both calcium (Ca ++) and magnesium (Mg ++) ions by exchanging them with sodium (Na +) ions. When the resins are exhausted, and need to be regenerated, they recharge the sodium released by the brine and become operational again.

The softener discharges water loaded with sodium at the outlet for users, while the regeneration discharges water saturated with calcium chloride.

The double column softener is completely automatic thanks to the electronic programmer with LCD screen, which controls the volumetric regeneration according to a programming decided by the user, suitable for the continuous treatment of drinking and process water, complete with diagnostics / event history . At the end of the production cycle, to be predetermined according to the degree of water hardness, the appliance will automatically perform the regeneration by sucking the regenerating solution from the special container using an ejector, without the need for additional electric pumps.

The second column is activated automatically while the first is in the regeneration phase. Given the reduced amount of hardness leaving the osmosis system, the supply also includes a continuous hardness analyzer for analyzing the hardness and transferring the inputs to the softening system.

Evaporators

A multiple effect evaporator exploits the combined effect of vacuum technology and low pressure steam heating to achieve the distillation of liquids at a low temperature.

The condensation of the vapors takes place in the final condenser, cooled with water supplied by the customer. Evaporation takes place in 3 separate kettles that work under 3 different vacuum values to allow energy savings.

The single circuit for generating the hydraulic vacuum inside the evaporator is inserted when the evaporator is started by activating the liquid ring pump that generates the vacuum.

Subsequently, 3 collection groups are assembled to separate the 3 distilled streams, a special configuration where each kettle will treat 3 different streams to increase the quality of the distillate and to be able to divide the distillates on which to eventually intervene after treatment.

The distillate is continuously conveyed into a cooled service tank and subsequently sent back to final storage, while the concentrated residue is discharged with an automatically activated tank bottom valve.

Periods of rest

During periods of evaporator standstill due to the discharge of the concentrate or exhaustion of the liquid to be treated, the maintenance of the vacuum is guaranteed by the closure of the clapet check valve. During evaporation, vacuum is guaranteed by the continuous operation of the pump.

Instrumental checks

Instrumental checks are selected with great attention to reliability and are: vibration level controls, maximum temperature thermostats, vacuum system thermostats, vacuum switches.

All temperature parameters are indicated by local instruments and displayed on the PLC display.

Business plan

The Business Plan is the document that summarizes the economic calculation of a project, serves to identify in the most detailed way possible all the costs connected to a project and estimates the returns over time by calculating the depreciation period and subsequent revenues. The Business Plan must demonstrate how the investment is convenient in the long term and allows you to have a preview of the economic returns deriving from the installation of the photovoltaic system.

It’s a document that sums up the economic calculation of a project: it identifies in the most possibly detailed manner all the costs associated to a project and it estimates the returns over time by calculating the payback period and the subsequent income. The business plan must prove how the investment will be convenient over time. About photovoltaic: the BP must identify the total cost of the project’s implementation and the maintenance expenses on one hand, and the overall income generated over time by the installation on the other; also indirect revenue, in terms of ‘economic savings generated by the user’. By comparing the investment’s costs and benefits it is possible to estimate the actual convenience of the entire operation and the business plan is the tool used to do so.

Connection of photovoltaic systems

We take care of the connection of your photovoltaic system. Cubi Srl has an ongoing collaboration with Enel and AGSM, which allows you to authorize and implement the connection of the photovoltaic system above 100 Kw.

Footing (floating photovoltaic system)

The floating photovoltaic system consists of an innovative floating platform made of polyethylene pipes capped at the ends, coupled to a metal structure, on which the support and fixing system of the photovoltaic modules, arranged in a double pitch, has been created.

The double-pitched arrangement allows multiple advantages:

  • Limits wind resistance, making the entire system more stable and safe
  • Avoid shading between the rows of photovoltaic modules
  • Optimize the spaces available on the reservoir
  • Reduces execution times and construction costs

The system uses a modular and expeditious construction model (cluster), which allows rapid and low cost assembly and disassembly, suitable for both small and large industrial plants.

Accumulation through photovoltaic system

Through specifically designed photovoltaic systems it is possible to accumulate the excess energy produced by the system for use at a later time. This occurs through the use of a dedicated battery and allows a net saving in economic terms. Furthermore, through this system it is possible to recharge electric cars and other electrically powered machinery.
